Director, Project Finance

Desired Qualifications:
• 3-5+ years experience building, running and evaluating complex economic and accounting models for tax equity, tax grant, project finance, or other financing structures for alternative energy, leasing, vendor finance or commercial finance transactions
• Experience in securitization and commercial bank lending transactions, markets and practices
• Experience and or knowledge of the solar PV industry, markets and economics
• Knowledge of tax accounting and/or tax law
• Experience working with legal counsel and outside accounting and audit firms
• Understanding of consumer lending products and processes
• Advanced computer modeling and math skills
• Strong foundation in financial and quantitative analysis.
• Strong communication, presentation and organization skills

• Four year college degree, MBA preferred or equivalent experience
Position Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Creating, managing and evaluating output of economic models to build tax advantaged vehicles to finance consumer lending products related to solar assets.
• Work closely with senior management to respond to proposals, prepare presentation materials and supply analysis for internal management and potential equity investors and debt providers.
• Provide ongoing support to the accounting for and economic analysis of a portfolio of consumer solar leases.
• Prepare ROE, ROI, NPV, IRR analysis on various investment options and consumer financial products
• Evaluate trends in the PV markets for consumer financial products, electricity usage, rebates, incentives and government programs and regulation related to alternative energy adoption.

Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will supervise the administration of the Transmission and Distribution Business Unit's (TDBU) Preliminary Incident Reporting system, including ensuring that the correct significance level is determined for each event, the proper cause evaluation is performed and that corrective actions are established to prevent reoccurance. Typical responsibilities will include: supervising and overseeing a group of event cause evaluators responsible for the implementation of the Event Evaluation Program, maintaining the Preliminary Incident Reporting Program and coordinating the Corrective Action Program within TDBU; reporting the results of performance error events and status of improvement initiatives and corrective actions to organization management; providing support and project management for the planning and scheduling of assessment programs; ensuring as a Lead Evaluator and Self Assessment Investigator that solutions do not compromise safety, are cost-effective, and support organizational requirements; directing the preparation of schedules, records, work progress reports, future projects, and evaluation of completed TDBU safety events; providing recommendations and implementing action plans to improve human performance errors within the department; determining assessment strategy for groups within TDBU work performance including predicting areas at risk for significant performance shortfalls, foreseeing which areas are likely to return the best payback in performance improvement, and determining the assessment approaches best suited for the types of activities being evaluated; coordinating, directing, and maintaining contacts with third party software vendors, training coordinators, suppliers, and vendors; and other duties and responsibilities as requested.
