Summer Activism Jobs / CAMPAIGN TO SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT / New York, NY

CAMPAIGN TO SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT/New York, NY (nationwide)

Make $4000-$6000 over the summer, working to protect the environment!

The environment needs your help now more then ever! The Bush Administration will continue its attacks on our most basic environmental laws, like the protection of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The Bush Administration is using the Arctic to try to send a message to the environmental community. Instead of sensible energy solutions like making new cars and SUV's more fuel efficient, the Administration wants to allow drilling in our last wilderness areas

The good news is we can make a difference, and we have! The Campaign to Save the Environment has won victories on clean energy and clean water, and passed initiatives to clean up toxic pollution. With your help we will do more to stop drilling in protected areas, ensure a sustainable energy future, and improve the quality of people's lives!

What you'll do:

As a member of our staff, you will fundraise and build membership for the nation's most progressive groups, and educate and activate citizens on pressing environmental issues. You will also have the opportunity to organize press conferences and build coalitions with other non-profit organizations. While on staff, you gain knowledge of pressing environmental concerns, learn how to effectively generate public support, and obtain a firm understanding of the political process Campaign staff will make $400-$600 per week.

We offer leadership positions and great career opportunities for college grads!
